Stepping into the Spotlight
Amanda’s headshot session took place in November 2025, and it was one of those shoots that left you smiling long after her last image was delivered.
Amanda reached out because she needed new headshots to continue auditioning for local community theatre productions – a brave and exciting step into something she has always wanted to do. At the time of our session, she was just days away from opening night of her very first production with a theatre company in New Westminster. I could feel her mix of nerves and excitement, and it added such a fun & dynamic energy to her session.
From the moment Amanda arrived, her warmth and friendliness filled my studio space. She’s a local Delta teacher, and it shows. She has a natural ease, kindness, and approachability that instantly puts people at ease. Those qualities translated so well into her images, giving her headshots a genuine, welcoming feel that I have a feeling casting teams will love to see.
Amanda also came incredibly well prepared. She had booked a professional makeup appointment before her shoot, which is always a wonderful idea if you have the time and budget. She looked confident, polished, and fully ready to step in front of the camera and that confidence truly shines through in her final images.
As a fellow lover of theatre, I absolutely adored working with Amanda and hearing about her new acting journey. Taking that first step can feel big and scary, but it’s also so exciting. I think it’s amazing that she’s starting her acting journey.
I can’t wait to see where this new chapter takes her, and I’m cheering her on as she steps into the spotlight.
