Kindness and generosity.

When I met Sharon & Darren last summer to chat about their upcoming wedding, I had no idea that I was meeting two people who would show such immeasurable amounts of these qualities.  I often say that somehow the perfect clients (especially wedding clients) manage to find me. Such was the case with these two.

I love working on Galiano Island, and especially with the Galiano Oceanfront Inn & Spa, so I was already excited to get to work with Sharon & Darren here for their May wedding. I decided to bring my family along and make a weekend getaway out of it, and they welcome my husband and son with open arms, extending invites to them for meals, and chatting them up just like we were all old friends.

Photographing and witnessing their wedding, with all of their amazing, friendly and caring friends and family members, was truly a memorable experience for me.  The kindness that they extended to me and my family was so genuine and heartfelt, and after listening to the speeches of so many of their guests, clearly this is a way of life for the both of them. That’s rare in the world these days.

In addition to a full gallery of images from their wedding day, I also created a short film to capture all the details and moments (scroll to the bottom to view it). It was a weekend that we will all remember for a long time to come.
