On any given Wednesday or Friday night about 20 years ago, you could find me and Anna, dancing our little butts off at the Pit Pub on campus at UBC.  We were fast friends right off the bat in first year university, bonding over terrible residence cafeteria food, hallways dance parties and late-night study sessions. She’s one of those friends that you can go years without seeing, but still have amazing, connected conversations with, no matter how long it’s been.

Last year, we reconnected when she reached out to me for her first family photos as a threesome, with her adorable hubby, Will and beautiful baby daughter. It had been a few years since we had last seen each other, but we all had a blast, taking photos, chatting and enjoying lunch together afterwards at their home in Port Moody.

This year, this lovely crew made the trek out to my neck of the woods. We met at Deas Island Park and spent a beautiful morning hanging out on the trails, playing and snapping photos. Soon, this little family will be making a bigger trek out to the east coast for a few months, and I’m so glad I was able to visit with them before they started their next adventure!
