As I sit looking out the window of my office here in Tsawwassen, on a dreary February morning, I’m suddenly struck by the thought that it’s FEBRUARY (yes, I know I just wrote that it was a February morning….but did you realize it’s ACTUALLY February?!?!). And as the memes keep popping up on my Facebook about how it was the longest January EVER, I’m slightly confused because it feels like the new year just started!
Perhaps it’s been a bit different for me because I looked forward to January for SO long. As many of you know, fall tends to be my busiest season as families plan for and book family photo sessions for Christmas cards, when the autumn colours are at their peak. This past fall was my busiest one yet, and in fact, 2018 was my busiest year EVER with over a hundred family photo sessions, a couple dozen headshot sessions, four weddings and some corporate gigs thrown in for good measure!
So when January hit, I couldn’t wait to put my feet up, relax and reflect upon the past year. The extra time that January has added to my schedule has allowed me to update my website galleries, revamp my pricing and packages, and make epic plans for 2019.
Here are some of the exciting things you’ve got to look forward to in 2019:
- my annual Mom & Me mini sessions, with partial proceeds going to the Pacific Post Partum Support Society. These lovely, simple sessions will take place in April & May at my home studio. (And possibly some Dad & Me sessions too in May/June)
- SUNSET SESSIONS! These were the biggest hit of 2018, and I hope to offer more of them this spring and summer. Sunset sessions take place during the beautiful golden hour before the sun sets (or right after the sun rises, if you prefer!), resulting in gorgeous, timeless photographs that seem more like works of art than photos.
- my annual Fall Family Mini Sessions will once again be offered in late September and early October for those families looking for a quick outdoor session to update to their family photos.
- my annual Holiday Mini Sessions will be happening in studio in early November, with cute child or family photos available in time for your annual Christmas cards.

- I offer Headshot sessions! If you need to update your LinkedIn profile photo, or want an actor’s headshot for a new creative venture, I’d love to work with you! I offer headshot sessions either in studio or outdoors, casual or business (or both!).
- I also offer a secret Youth Headshot package, for your young actors and performers. Because kids grow and change so much in such a short time, I’m happy to offer discounted youth headshot rates.
- Maternity & Newborn Packages – new this year! Book your newborn session with me and have the opportunity to add-on a maternity session for $100 less than a stand-alone session.

Lastly, I am so grateful to all of my amazing clients who have continued to trust me with their family memories. I don’t take that honour lightly, and I value each experience so much. In fact, I learn something new at every session!
