Every summer for the last 4 years, I’ve taken 3 weeks off in the middle of the summer to travel and spend time with my family. For the last two years, our travel has been fairly close to home (thanks Covid!), but it’s meant that I’ve been able to sneak in a photo session here and there, as I happen to have some lovely and loyal clients scattered about our beautiful province.
My friend Britt and her family live just outside of Victoria, on a beautiful farm, and when she asked if I could take a short venture out to her place for a sunset session, I couldn’t wait! This acreage is GORGEOUS – open fields, an orchard, overgrown nooks and crannies of tall grasses, rustic buildings – it was a photographer’s dream!
Add to that an adorable and willing family, and I was pretty much in heaven! We wandered to a gorgeous, sunlit corner of their farm and settled in to capture a perfect array of photos, in any and all combinations – complete with the family dogs, who were more than keen to pose for a shot or two!
This was the perfect little one-night, mini-vacation-within-a-vacation for me. I loved seeing Britt in her element with her beautiful family, and I’m so thrilled with the images we captured!
