Live theatre is back, friends!! And I couldn’t be more excited to be showing off these gorgeous headshots from the cast of Delta Youth Theatre‘s upcoming production of Matilda Jr.

This production is chock full of talented and amazing kids – and I got to do headshots for 35 of them! Each of these kids was an absolutely pleasure to meet and photograph, and I’m always amazed at the wide range of personalities. Some kids come in and you just *know* they are theatre kids – loud, funny, extroverted, chatty, expressive. Others are quiet, understated, introverted, and calm. But without fail, every single one of them lights up on stage!

I’ve been photographing the DYT kids for many years, since their production of Little Mermaid, and I love going to every single one of their productions. But this year, I’m even MORE excited because my own kiddo is in the production! And through him, I’ve gotten to know some of these kids really well, and I’ve seen the tremendous amount of work and enthusiasm that these young performers put into their performance.

Matilda Jr. opens TOMORROW, Friday, December 3rd, and runs until December 12th. There are 4 different casts and multiple different performance opportunities, including weekend matinees, and weekday evening shows. Don’t miss out on this amazing local production, led by Tony Barton and Tracy Neff.
