As the summer days slip past us quickly and unassumingly, I’m starting to feel sad that I only have a few sunset sessions left on my schedule. Thankfully, I have lots more to post here, but it does make me nostalgic! We are truly lucky to live in this beautiful part of the world, and Centennial Beach has really showed off her stuff for me this year. From golden fields to pink, hazy beaches, it’s definitely been a summer to remember.

I was excited for Andrea’s session as I’ve only ever worked with her before on headshots and photos for her business. At the time, she was pregnant with her youngest, and her eldest toddled in and out of her home office space, entertaining all of us with his cheeky little smile. This time though, that cheeky little smile was the perfect addition to their family’s sunset session in early August. As it always goes during these sunset sessions, the kids were full of beans and I had my work cut out for me, chasing little feet and crawling around on the ground to capture the picture shot. But I loved every second of it!

I especially love some of the non-traditional photos from Andrea’s session – a posed photo is perfect for a Christmas card, but the ones with the giggles and tickles and upside-down-ness are always my favourites as I feel like they show off everyone’s best and truest colours. Thanks Andrea and family for this epic summer evening of fun!
