It was the night that the wildfire smoke started to trickle into the Tsawwassen area, but we had no idea that was happening! All we knew was that we were getting some gorgeous, pinky-peachy light that seemed to work absolutely perfectly with what Heather and her family were wearing! (this is exactly why I encourage lighter, pastel colours for sunset sessions!)
You might recognize Heather and her family from past photo sessions. She is one of my dearest friends, with a true dedication to her family, her work and her music (we sing together in a vocal ensemble). And I’m always honoured when she and her family make the trek all the way from West Vancouver (!!) for one of my sunset sessions.
My favourite part of this session was when mom and daughter sat together on a log by the beach and I asked mama what she loved about her girl. She gushed and gushed, and the look on her daughter’s face was just so touching. She obviously adores her mama, and I felt really honoured to be a witness to this lovely little moment. It was heartwarming, and I’m so thrilled to share some of those images, as well as many other amazing photos from this gorgeous session!
