We certainly had a lot of fall colour this year! Driving around town, I would often find myself veering off onto side streets and down roads I don’t usually travel because a vibrant spot of colour caught my eye. I am ALWAYS on the look-out for new and interesting places to take photos!

One day I took a different route driving my son to school and happened to notice a huge blast of orange and yellow colour, just past Winskill Aquatic Centre. Back in behind the pool and fitness centre, there is a disc golf course, which is well kept, not used much in colder weather and is the home to dozen of colourful trees in the fall – who knew!?! I tucked that information away in the back of my mind, just in case I needed a new location to shoot for some of my family sessions this year.

And lo & behold, once the leaves had fallen off the trees in Diefenbaker Park, I found myself pondering where to take Natalie’s family for their photo session, and I remembered this gem of a spot. Turns out that on that particular day, someone DID want to play disc golf, but we respectfully worked around him and his game and were able to spend 45 minutes of fun in this beautifully colourful spot!

Natalie and her family were a ton of fun to work with. Her girls were the perfect mix of silly and sweet, and I’m really excited about the images we captured for them in this lovely new lcoation!
