5 Nice, 5 Silly has been a staple prompt in my family photography arsenal for almost a decade. If you’ve never played this game at a session before, chances are your kids are either too young or have grown out of the silliness phase to eye-rolling teenagers, but it’s one of my favourite ways to get those lovely, smiling “Christmas-card-worthy” shots, as well as the photos that truly capture your kiddos at the age when they’re not afraid to be a little bit bonkers.
But my favourite part about 5 Nice, 5 Silly is asking the grown-ups in the family to play along with the game. That’s when I really see the family dynamic in its glory! It’s when the dads realize that it’s not going to *just* be a totally stuffy family photo experience. It’s when the moms take a brief moment to let their “perfection” guard down. And it’s when we make memories for the kids that they’ll be able to look back on and giggle at mom and dad and themselves.
Amber’s brood of boys was definitely not afraid to get in on the 5 Nice, 5 Silly game (I’m sure you can pinpoint the Silly photos below!), and our results were nothing short of stellar. Beautiful smiling photos of her boys, and perfectly goofy memories to post on the fridge to bring giggles for years to come. Thanks for joining be for a Mother’s Day Session, Amber!
