There are some families that I have just absolutely adored since the moment I met them. Many years ago, I did a photography project called “Motherhood: Unfiltered” where I documented a few hours in the life about a dozen different mothers. Christine was one of them, and her daughters were just little girls at the time, in the era of wiggly teeth and joint bathtimes, and I immediately fell in love with the rapport Christine had with her girls. Playful but disciplined, silly yet dependable, and always (always) devoted, loving and accepting.

I can still see these qualities in her relationships with her daughters, even in their teenage years, and her husband reflects those characteristics as well. This family is obviously incredibly dedicated to one another and their affection for each other is so obvious in every single photo. I really feel lucky every time I get to work with them.

We were blessed with a beautiful fall evening at Centennial, even though it was already mid-October and well-past the season of sunset sessions in my world. But it was a gorgeous, clear night and I couldn’t be happier with the photos we captured for this truly lovely family!
