Some families simply fill a session with warmth the moment they arrive, and Stephanie’s family is one of those gems. I’m truly grateful for them – not only for making the long drive from the North Shore (with a car full of teenagers!) but for who they are at their core. This family has been a foster family for years, and I’ve had the privilege of meeting many of the children they’ve welcomed into their home. Their kindness and openness shine through every time I see them.

Their fall family mini session was full of laughter, playful chaos, and the best kind of energy. Their youngest kept us all on our toes as he tried to disappear under the safety of his hoodie every chance he got. It quickly became a game: hood up, hood down, hood halfway. Thankfully, between giggles and quick reflexes, we managed to catch a handful of shots where his face made an appearance.

What I loved most was how beautifully all the kids got along. There was an easy camaraderie between them that made posing feel natural and fun. My favourite moment of the session, though, was when we took individual photos of each parent with each child. Those little pairings always reveal the sweetest, most genuine connections, and with Stephanie and her crew, it was especially touching.
