Every newborn session I do is adorable but boy, oh boy, did this sweet baby girl capture my heart! One of the most expressive, alert and curious newborns I’ve ever encountered and she was barely a week old! I adored her immediately, and it’s obvious that her parents were also head over heels in love with her as well.

I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Kasia & Josh’s wedding last year, and my son is fortunate to train at Josh’s taekwondo school, Chang’s Taekwondo in Tsawwassen. I feel like I know Josh fairly well, but it was a real treat for me to be invited into their home and into their first few days with their brand new baby. Both Josh and Kasia were calm and relaxed and so ready to show off their sweet girl. She had beautiful outfits and an adorable nursery, and two doting parents who were absolutely enraptured with their baby, even though they were sleep-deprived and still getting used to life as new parents. Kasia seemed especially in her element as a new mom – confident, relaxed and looking amazingly refreshed and beautiful for someone who had just welcomed a baby just over a week ago.

I felt so honoured to be able to capture these moments for this new family of 3, and wish I had captured even more of Baby G’s endless facial expressions and curiosity. She was a non-stop photographer’s dream newborn subject and I’m thrilled with the images we created for Kasia & Josh.
