Sunset Maternity Session with Britt, Miguel, and Big Sister M

Every session with Britt and her family feels like a warm reunion. I first met her years ago at a family photo shoot that started with a rather memorable moment – I accidentally left my camera behind (oops!). Thankfully, despite that little hiccup, Britt trusted me enough to invite me back for many more special moments, including her maternity and newborn sessions with her daughter, and then, last spring, her beautiful wedding to Miguel, her daughter’s dad.

This latest session was another milestone: maternity photos as they prepared to welcome baby number two. We met on a sunny evening at Centennial Beach, where the sky put on a show of soft golden light and streaks of sunlit clouds, perfect for a dreamy sunset session.

Although the excitement was definitely all about their growing family and the soon-to-arrive baby, the true star of the session was big sister M. With her big blue eyes, perfect little curls, and sweet-as-can-be personality (even though it was well past bedtime!), she completely stole the show. She was so full of wonder and sweetness, snuggling her mama’s belly and riding on dad’s shoulders as the sun set. It was truly a perfect evening to capture this growing family.

And now, as I sit down to write this, baby brother has officially arrived! I’m so thrilled to be heading back to photograph this sweet family again later this week – this time with one more tiny person to love.
